The Whistler Elders Enrichment Society (WEE Society) is an advocate for seniors’ wellness. They have been working hard to find a dedicated space for seniors in Whistler — including those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related conditions — to gather for social, physical, and educational activities.
The WEE Society was established in 2024 to ensure that funds raised in the Whistler community stay within the community. In 2025, they proudly received charitable status. They are currently seeking a safe, welcoming, and easily accessible location to support this important work and are working closely with the Rotary Club of Whistler and Whistler’s Mature Action Community (MAC).
Continuing to actively fundraise in support of programs and activities for local seniors, their most recent event, 50 Years of Fashion in Whistler 1975-2025 Show Fun’raiser, in honour of Isobel MacLaurin was held at the Maury Young Arts Centre and was a great success. They are grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.
They are now planning their 2nd Annual Walk for Seniors in May — we hope to see you there. To learn more, visit whistlerelders.ca. Donations are welcome.
